Attendance

Analog Camera Workshop will consists in six meetings, usually on Saturdays, calendar can undergo changes. The first meeting will take place on 21st April 2018; the last meeting will be on 2nd June 2018.

240 €

(The amount includes workshop and lab rent where students can develop their work).

GOAL

TO WHOM THE WORKSHOP IS ADDRESSED

To people who love photo’s lights and contrasts and want to understand its procedures, how to take a photo and transform it into something that can be touched and framed. A previous knowledge is not necessary. The workshop will be divided in theoretical, external and lab experience. There will be work group, constantly supervised by the teacher, who will help them in create their own personal projects.

No worries! Those who have not an analog camera can use one of teacher’s camera. It will be request a security deposit for any possible damages.

THE TEACHER

The workshop is held by Ottavio Sellitti, a professional author of many projects. His last work, Wo ist Elena Ferrante? was exhibited at the Italian Cultural Institute, Berlin.

21/04 First meeting, 11:00 – 12:30

Workshop introduction: students meet and greet. Analog camera now.

28/04 Second meeting, 14:00-17:00

Demonstrating lesson: different types of analog cameras – theoretical aspects.

Every student will chose a photographic book to analyze on 19th mat (fourth meeting)

29/04 Third meeting, 10:00-18:00

10:00 – 12:00 Tour at the Analog Camera Fair (5€ entrance), the teacher will advice on buying the right photographic gear.

12:00-18:00 Photographic Tour

19/05 Fourth meeting, 10:00-18:00

10:00 – 12:30 Students’ analysis of one or more photos of the picked book, technical summary.

13:00-18:00 Photographic Tour.

24-25-26/05 Fifth meeting, 14:00-15:00 at Stattlab

Developing session and contact sheet printing – 4 students max. for session – session hours to be decided with students (4 to 6 hour/session).

02/06 Last meeting, 14:00-16:00

Scanned films delivery, works evaluation and conclusion.
