Cancellation and refund
Withdrawal from the contract is possible up to three working days before the start of the course, both for the registered person and for the school. In this case, 30% of the paid fee will be refunded. In the event of withdrawal between 10 and 5 days before the start of the course, a refund of 50% of the course fee can be requested. If the withdrawal is made no later than 11 days before the start of the course, the refund is 70% of the course fee. After the deadline of three days before the start of the course, a refund is no longer possible. In case of withdrawal, the annual registration fee of €20 will not be refundable. If the course is cancelled by the school, the full amount, including the registration fee, will be refunded upon request.
Reduction of teaching units
The specified number of teaching units refers to courses with at least five participants. If only four people are registered, the total number of teaching units will be reduced from 48 to 42. If the number of participants is three or less, the course will not take place and, upon request, the school will refund the full course fee.
Cancellation of lessons and substitutions
Berlino Schule will make every effort to organize a substitution in case of a teacher’s absence. If this is not possible, lessons will be cancelled and will be made up in a timely manner. The replacement date will be determined by majority vote in consultation with the participants and the teacher.
Registration fee and validity of the school’s contract
The registration fee is mandatory and is valid for a period of 12 months from the first registration. The form must be completed again for each course in which the student wishes to participate. It is legally valid regardless of whether the registration fee has already been paid. By signing the form, the registered person agrees to pay the amount specified in the contract. Even without a signature, the contractual obligation comes into force as soon as the form has been completed or the contractually agreed sum has been paid. Any outstanding amounts must be paid as soon as possible, and no later than 3 working days before the start of the course.
Reservation through deposit
To reserve a place in a course, the student can pay a non-refundable deposit of at least €100. The remaining course fee must be paid no later than three working days before the start of the course. If full payment is not made on time, the school reserves the right to give the place to another person.
Course change
After successful registration, a change of course is possible within the first week after the start of the course by paying a switching fee. The amount of this fee will be calculated on a case-by-case basis, but never more than €70, and promptly communicated to the participant, who must complete the payment within 2 working days from the date of notification. After this deadline, a change of course will no longer be possible.
Amounts paid for a group course cannot be credited or transferred to individual lessons.
Feedback
Berlino Schule collects feedback from all participants at least once per course in order to continuously improve the quality of teaching. Should participants have any dissatisfaction or suggestions for improvement during the course, it is recommended that they inform the school promptly. This allows Berlino Schule to react properly and make adjustments if necessary.
Invoice
Invoices for cash payments are issued in paper form, while invoices for card payments or bank transfers are provided in digital form. Both types of invoice are legally binding. If the student requires an invoice, they must provide Berlino Schule with the correct invoice details in good time. Invoices that have already been issued cannot be changed retrospectively.
Course material
The cost for course material (course book) is not included in the course price.
Telc and conversation courses
Telc preparation courses (24 teaching units) and conversation courses (20 teaching units) require a minimum of 3 participants. If this minimum number is not reached, the course will not take place and the school will refund the total amount upon request.
